The gardens at the Threave estate are open to the public. There is a walled garden, glass houses, impressive borders and even a sculpture garden.

If you travel out past Stranraer you can see the Logan Botanic Garden which is part of the Edinburgh Royal Botanic Garden. A collection of southern hemisphere plants can be viewed.
